Having Fun With Holograms

Imagine turning video of you and your friends into life size holograms dancing a window. Sounds complicated but with ClearBright™ Transparent Display Film and a simple video editing trick you can have the most creative digital window display is town.

Here’s how we did it:

1) Apply ClearBright™ to a window panel covering it edge to edge. Available here in 3 standard roll sizes directly from Lux labs. We ship worldwide at affordable prices!

2) Take video of someone against a blue or green screen. We just used a blue wall to keep things easy and cheap.

3) Use the free online editing tool, unscreen.com, to remove the video background and change it to black.

4) Position a projector inside your space so it’s displaying on the window covered with ClearBright™

5) Project your video that has the background changed to black. The black appears fully transparent from a projector so the person is all that’s displayed on the window.

Check out the video above to see what we came up with. Although not technically a hologram, the effect is very similar and works with any type of video, photo, animation, or graphic set to a black background.
